This game is often mistaken as a handheld port of Donkey Kong Country 2 - this is not true. The game is a semi-sequel to Donkey Kong Country 2 and takes place before Donkey Kong Country 3. Like Donkey Kong Land, the game featured a yellow cartridge and Super Game Boy special features. It is a handheld follow-up of Donkey Kong Country 2 for Super Family Computer/Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
